professionals in education and mental health, including parent educators, and
parents of children ages two through late teens. Participants learn to create a classroom or family environment that encourages mutual respect. The class is lively and inter-active; students learn through participation and gain practical experience. Topics include recognizing difficult behavior as a
cry for help; learning how to remain centered under stress; the power of effective attitudes; and strengthening communication, problem-solving, and planning skills. This course offers certification to teach the
Quality ParentingSM program, used widely by parents of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
